Elon Musk pauses crypto currency payments for Tesla
Well, well. In a move toward real environmental solutions, Elon Musk is pushing the crypto markets to go green and stop using coal and fossil fuels to generate electricity.
He also called Dogecoin “a hustle” which is actually true of all of crypto currencies, every new buyer is at the bottom of the next pyramid scheme. So the bounce that Dogecoin expected got tanked by Musk’s appearance on SNL. It’s possible that many of his friends and relatives invested in it… Sellers can just as easily drop from the pyramid top, as well.
Traditional currency markets have this arbitrary risk as well, usually not as extreme in volatility, and national currencies are tied to more predictable real politics and economies.
Thank you, crypto-market-manipulating-Billionaire, for even if your goal is more green profits, you are doing the right thing to encourage reduced fossil fuel use and that matters. This is an earth-first, best-planet move.

I’ve been motivated to promote more environmental action because of NFTs and Crytocurrency using so much electricity. It’s great to see people investing in Nuclear Fusion, a cleaner energy in terms of both waste and extraction, but for now we can all make a difference by using a lot less electricity in our daily lives to ease the demand for electric power, and fossil fuel extraction. We can deinvest from fossil fuels, and use less plastic.
I’ve been learning masking in Adobe After Effects and my new work involves footage of a snail moving across a sidewalk, which then led to me loving the environmental message of a snail; slow and vulnerable, ancient and with beautiful forms.
Elon Musk appears on Saturday Night Live tonight. Artists know he is rumored to have not paid an illustrator for a design, or credit artists, and apparently comedians have red flags about him, too. He is a billionaire who funds electric cars to reduce pollution, while planning another culture on Mars. The latter seems like a conflict of interest. It would be great and amazing to set up a tourism venue on Mars, but a culture is a whole other kettle of fish (starting with no fish on Mars).
Earth is the Best Planet, and we should take better care of it.
Inspired by David Attenborough, always one of my mother’s favorite people, Sarrow Studio wants to help spread the message of stewardship of the earth and wildlife. We reclaim styrofoam from going to landfills and you can make your own upcycled art with glue and paint: Styro Art Project
One way to use less electricity is to make physical art, which I will get to after lunch (-: Happy Saturday everyone!
